All You Need to Know

WHY SHOULD I GET MY REPAIR DONE WITH YOU WHEN THE APPLE STORE IS NEARBY?

A fair question! We love the guys and girls at the Apple Store, but they do get very busy, especially around product launch time. So if your AppleCare customer service representative sends you to us instead of the Genius Bar for your repair, don't be surprised. 

We work with the Apple Store, not against them. We both get our parts from the same Apple supply chain, and our technicians are also Apple Certified Engineers. We don't like to brag, but our turnaround time is often a teensy bit faster than theirs for major repairs.

WHAT ABOUT MY DATA?

We understand that the most important thing about your Mac is the data you have on it, whether it's photos, videos, work or that dissertation you've spent months on. We will do our best to rescue what we can if you come in with a hard drive problem, but we won't always be successful. 

Feel free to drop us a line and we'll talk to you about back-up solutions we recommend, so that when the time comes that you suffer a storage drive failure (and trust us, it comes to everyone eventually) you won't be left worrying about the data that matters most to you.

DO YOU DO UPGRADES?

We do! Let us know what your current spec is on your Mac and we will suggest reasonable and effective upgrades to keep you up to date with the latest macOS updates and third-party software.

DO YOU DO PICK-UPS?

In the past we were happy to do pickups and drop-offs in the Belfast area, but unfortunately COVID-19 has meant we have to change that, at least temporarily. You can see our working practices for working in the current situation here. 

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

In the past we were happy to see you without an appointment, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic things have changed, sadly. You can find out details on our working practices for the time being at this link.

MY BUSINESS USES MACS - CAN YOU ADVISE US ON HOW TO WORK BETTER TOGETHER?

We thought you'd never ask! Consultancy is our specialty - we have many years of experience of tailoring Apple-based solutions to all sizes of businesses, from SMEs to international film productions.

Whether your business is just starting out and you need some cost-effective ways to work smarter and with better integration, or you need to deploy software on a large scale, our specialists can handle whatever you can throw at them!

DO YOU SELL REFURBISHED MACS?

In general we don't keep a stock of refurbished Macs, as much as we'd like to, but if there is something you are looking for we certainly know the right places to help you look. Give us a call or email and we'll do our best to point you in the right direction to find a machine you need to suit your budget.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

Just your sick Mac, preferably. We don't need your power cables, keyboards, mice or what have you, unless you think one of your accessories is the cause of a problem, in which case we're happy to test those for you.

In any other case though save yourself the hassle and just bring the device itself.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept all major credit cards, cash, cheques and of course ApplePay!
