Apple Announce Temporary Store Closures

Apple have announced today that to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 they will be closing all Apple Stores outside China until at least March 27th. This leaves MAC|SYS as the only Apple Authorised Service Provider in Northern Ireland which can take appointments via Apple’s Support channels. This is a situation we haven’t been in since the Victoria Square Store first opened in 2008.

MAC|SYS will be open as usual from Monday 16th March, but we will be requiring appointments to be made either over the phone at (028) 90832600, via Apple’s Support page, or Apple’s Support app (available here). We will not be able to accept walk-ins for at least the next couple of weeks.

We expect that the workshop is about to become very busy and we hope customers will appreciate our staff numbers are a fraction of what Apple have in their Belfast store, so repair times will naturally increase from our normal 2-3 day turnaround.

Obviously this is a constantly changing situation and we are completely constrained by our parts supply chain. If that also becomes affected by disease prevention measures then we will have to reassess the situation further.

We hope that customers will bear with us during this period as we strive to give everyone the level of service they’ve come to expect from MAC|SYS over the years.
