The new version of macOS (versions 14) will be available soon for selected Macs, with this update there are a ton of new features like the ability to add desktop widgets - much like your iOS widgets, enhanced private browsing, enhanced autofill for PDF files, and more!
Before updating your OS check your Mac is compatible from the list below - if the update does not appear in your Software Update section in System Setting your Mac isn't compatible. Remember always backup your files either through Time Machine or any other backup program you use before running any OS update.
The following Macs are compatible with Sonoma:
iMac 2019 and later
iMac Pro 2017
MacBook Air 2018 and later
MacBook Pro 2018 and later
Mac Pro 2019 and later
Mac Studio 2022 and later
Mac mini 2018 and later
